Well I live in North Norfolk , a lovely area of the UK and only 5 mins from the coast, and where we are is classed as 'an area of natural outstanding
beauty' , so all very rural and peaceful most of the time. The shops in Town are great as lots of individual one-off shops and not many high street names.
We are also very spoilt for Antique shops and art galleries, two of my favourite kind of shops to browse in. Sadly my local craft shop had to close down, but
there is still a local cardmaking group that meets every fortnight.
My 'day' job involves managing a craft warehouse and creating new products (mostly 3d sheets) for our company. The designing of the new sheets is
the part I enjoy most and it get the creative juices working. I also do workshops and demonstrations in various shops throughout the UK and that is also
another favorite part of my work, actually meeting with other crafters. The TV shows on Ideal World and C&C are great to do and I hope you all enjoy
watching them and pick up some tips along the way.
Apart from cardmaking I do love to read and much prefer a good book to the TV anytime.. In my time I have tried many other crafts including painting,
caligraphy, pottery, cross stitch ( dont ask how many unfinished pieces I have !!), soft furnishings, dressmaking, cake decorating, chinese
painting ,upholstery, french polishing and knitting. When I get the time I also enjoy a bit of gardening and love to encourage wildlife in it as much as
possible. I enjoy a wide range of music from Snowpatrol, Bon Jovi, Enya, Robbie Williams, through to Mozart, Rackmaninov etc and the odd heavy metal band
inflicted on me by my Son lol !! Ryan is now grade 8 on the piano so I am very lucky in being able to throughly enjoy what he plays , as he also like classical
and jazz as far as piano playing goes, but his ' bedroom' music is quite the opposite lol !! But as he has now started 'Uni' I dont have to
listen to too much of his heavy rock now and I get his bed if hubby's snoring gets tooooo noisy lol Would love to change his bedroom into another craft
room but think he may object when he comes home for holidays lol
I have three cats, Bizzy, Tom and Tigger. Tom and Bizzy being a brother and sister we have had since they came away from their mum, and Tigger ( the ginger
one) we got from a rescue place. Goodness knows why.. as he is def 'a cat with attitude' and loves to play up and boss the other two around something
wicked lol !! He is much younger than them but is a brave cat that stands his ground. He has even been known to go after Pheasants that come into our garden.
Happy Crafting
